Alderman Bob Fioretti (2nd) is considering running for mayor of Chicago, but wants the public’s opinion before making a decision.
The alderman set up a petition webpage asking constituents, “Should I run?”
Fioretti is one of the few popular candidates stirring excitement in voters looking for a viable Rahm Emanuel challenger. Chicago Teachers Union president Karen Lewis said she is considering challenging Emanuel, while Cook County Board president Toni Preckwinkle said she won’t run. The election is in February.
