Chicago Public Schools Wednesday released its budget proposal for the 2015 fiscal year, showing another growing deficit.
The $5.7 billion budget makes several investments in classrooms despite the debt.
But neighborhood high schools have, on average, a 10 percent cut in budgets, according to budget analysis by Catalyst Chicago. Meanwhile charter high schools may see $42 million budget increases and additional schools.
