Advocates for a South Side trauma center ended a week of demonstrations with a march near the University of Chicago Friday.
University of Chicago students, medical professionals and local activists have been urging the school to add a trauma center to its South Side medical center ever since student activist Damian Turner died after being driven away from the university medical center to the nearest trauma center on the north side of the city.
